Healthcare reform, this ground-breaking and sweeping piece of legislation seems to be on everyone's mind. As we're beginning to receive guidance from federal agencies and the White House on many of the issues and opportunities created by the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act and the Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act, more and more questions arise. What will it really mean for you as a patient, employee and employer? What will it mean for Indiana's healthcare and life sciences businesses, and business in general? How did we get here and what does the future hold?
This conference on the past, present and future of healthcare reform will review the balancing of interests it took to pass this monumental legislation, provide an update on the rules and regulations being written to implement the bill, and the latest thinking on the costs and implications of the bill. Participants will leave with a better idea of the impact this piece of legislation will have on their lives and their business - today and tomorrow.
Tim Franson, M.D., Senior Vice President of B&D Consulting, will be speaking on the morning panel regarding health reform from the manufacturers' perspective.
Pat Cross, partner and chair of the Health Care & Life Sciences practice, is moderating the second panel of the day. This panel will look at the impact of the reform from a providers' and payors' perspective.
Vince Ventimiglia, Senior Vice President of B&D Consulting, will be moderating the final panel of the day discussing the future impact of health care reform legislation.
