Living and Working in Minneapolis

Minneapolis along with its “Twin City,” Saint Paul, is considered by residents as the capital for the arts of the Upper Midwest. The city has a host of cultural organizations and events that draw creative people and audiences for theater, visual art, writing and music. Although Minneapolis greets you with a modern skyline, it provides beautiful landscape scenes for nature-lovers with an abundance of lakes and wetlands, the Mississippi river, creeks, and waterfalls connected by parkways.  It is common for residents to own or share cabins and other properties along lakes and forested areas for weekend trips “up North” in the warmer months. Ice fishing is a major pastime in the winter along with hunting, snowmobiling, ATV-riding and numerous other outdoor activities.
