HONOReform and B&D; Consulting cordially invite you to join us to celebrate the launching of the One & Only Campaign and a Book Signing for A Never Event with co-author Evelyn V. McKnight.
On February 11, 2009, the Safe Injection Practices Coalition will join Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) in officially launching the One & Only Campaign, an education and awareness initiative aimed at both health care providers and patients to promote safe injection practices at the U.S. Capitol. The Safe Injection Practices Coalition is comprised of patient advocacy organizations, foundations, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), provider associations and societies, and industry partners, and is led by the CDC Foundation and HONOReform Foundation.
The goal of the One & Only Campaign is to improve safe injection practices across health care settings. The practices within an organization are highly influenced by its culture or are an expression of its culture. Thus, through education, outreach and grassroots initiatives, the One & Only Campaign will seek to influence the culture of patient safety. For more information on the One & Only Campaign, please contact Sara Weir at [email protected].
Through A Never Event, the story of the Nebraska Hepatitis C outbreak, the writers hope to empower patients and health care providers with the knowledge to keep such tragedies from occurring again. Written by a survivor of the Nebraska hepatitis C outbreak and an attorney representing many of the victims of the tragedy, A Never Event is a wake-up call to medical and legal communities nationwide. For more information on A Never Event, please visit their Web site at: www.aneverevent.com.
We hope that you can join us for this celebration of two historical events.
