Consultant - Government Advocacy & Consulting, Energy & Environment Team

FaegreBD Consulting is seeking an advisor level consultant to join our dynamic Energy & Environment team based in Washington. This is a unique opportunity as FaegreBD Consulting is at the cutting edge of American law and public policy as the energy sector transforms and environmental policies change. The ideal candidate should possess four to seven years of experience in energy and/or environmental policy positions on Capitol Hill. They should also possess:

  • Superior communication skills, including the ability to communicate research and analysis crisply and effectively, in oral and written internal and external presentations
  • Substantial knowledge of federal energy, environmental, and food policy; spanning a number of areas including coal issues, Clean Air Act, water policy, and general energy issues
  • A firm understanding of legislative and regulatory processes
  • Ability to think critically
  • Ability to understand and synthesize complex policy issues
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Demonstrated willingness to work hard, do what it takes, and drive toward results

Additional preferred experience and qualifications include:

  • Working on a committee of jurisdiction or for a member of such a committee
  • Graduate education/degree
