Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL), Lockheed Martin and Washington State University Tri-Cities (WSU-TC) are teaming up to host this speaker series dedicated to educating stakeholders, the community and other interested individuals and organizations on what it takes to successfully build a research park.

Phillip Singerman Ph.D., B&D; Consulting's Senior Vice President and former U.S. Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Economic Development, will discuss federal funding opportunities for development on research parks, including how to gain access to it and why it's an important element of success.

Dr. Singerman is a recognized national innovator in public/private partnerships to promote local economic development. He will also address the federal economic development implications of carbon cap and trade systems (an administrative approach used to control pollution by providing economic incentives for achieving reductions in the emissions of pollutants).
