B&D; Consulting's Phillip Singerman, M.D., will speak at the North Dakota Centers of Excellence Summit. In his lecture on "Innovation in Public/Private Partnerships," Dr. Singerman will offer insight of how states across the nation have developed public-private partnerships to promote tech-based economic development over the past 25 years. Singerman will provide information on how the Pennsylvania Ben Franklin Partnership, the Maryland Technology Development Corporation, the Georgia Research Alliance and the Kansas Bioscience Authority are models of sustainable, accountable and effective programs.
Dr. Singerman is a recognized national innovator whose 30-year career includes positions in the public — local, state and federal levels — and private sectors. Dr. Singerman is a former U.S. Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Economic Development and member of the Board of the State Science and Technology Institute.
Dr. Singerman's session will begin at 11:15 a.m. MDT.
