Climate Change Business Journal talked one-on-one with B&D; Consulting's Andy Ehrlich about his thoughts on the firm's energy and climate change practice, services, highlights, growth, competition and other related matters.
"In October of 2008, we had three client victories incorporated into the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008, which included the renewable energy tax incentives extensions," Ehrlich answered in response to some of the B&D; Consulting team's recent highlights. "Our work ranged from waste-to-energy to plug-in hybrid electronic vehicles to biofuels."
"We had an excellent year, and all of these clients have returned because they have new federal affairs objectives," Ehrlich added. "Our advocacy on both the Republican and Democrat sides of the aisle on major climate change legislation has also been very interesting and rewarding, but as we all know those deliberations will continue into 2009."
Ehrlich told Climate Change Business Journal that B&D; Consulting's energy and climate change client base ranges from corporations to universities to local governments to non-governmental organizations.
"B&D; Consulting has always taken an inter-disciplinary approach to achieving clients' goals," Ehrlich told Climate Change Business Journal. "What that means is that we can bring the people with the appropriate background to bear on a client's needs. Our professionals have backgrounds in engineering, economic development, finance, lobbying, law, taxes and public relations. We are able to leverage all of these disciplines to achieve the particular goal."
