Diane Tomb Enhances B&D; Consulting Communications Practice

WASHINGTON – Continuing its expansion and commitment to interdisciplinary client services, B&D Consulting announces its newly formed strategic & public policy communications practice group. The team will focus on helping clients achieve their goals through a range of communications services that inform policy decisions and the regulatory process, build strong market reputations and address complex business challenges.

As part of the expansion effort, nationally recognized communications strategist Diane Leneghan Tomb has joined the team as a senior advisor. In this role, she serves as the senior public affairs and communications professional across the B&D Consulting sector practices.

Tomb has more than 20 years of experience in public affairs and public policy issues at the highest levels in government, politics and the private sector. She joins Nick Manetto, a B&D Consulting Vice President, in leading the launch and development of the practice group.

Tomb is the founder and CEO of Tomb & Associates LLC, a public affairs company. Previously, she served as the Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Among her career accomplishments, Tomb was the senior vice president for communications at one of the largest foundations in the country focused on community and economic development and, prior to that, a vice president with one of the largest international public relations firm.

Manetto joined the firm in 2004 and serves on both the strategic & public policy communications and health & life sciences practice groups. Prior to joining the firm, he served as press secretary and legislative assistant for health care policy to a senior member of Congress. Before coming to Washington, Manetto worked as a reporter covering local governments, politics and other issues for a daily newspaper in New Jersey.
