Independent Analysis Shows B&D; Consulting School Improvement Services Having a "Profound Impact" on Student Achievement

WASHINGTON, D.C. — B&D; Consulting's school improvement practice is having a major impact on student achievement in Indiana schools according to the results of a recently released study.

The study, which was conducted by Assistant Vice Provost for Research at the University of Arkansas, Dr. Sean Mulvenon, shows that B&D; Consulting's school improvement support is having a profound impact on increasing student achievement. Each of the three measures considered — English Language Assessment (ELA), Math, and a combination of the two — showed dramatic growth in the percentage of students passing the Indiana State test (ISTEP).

In schools that worked with B&D; Consulting, ELA passing rates improved by an amazing 14.6% as compared to only 7.4% for comparable schools that did not work with B&D.; For math, passing rates increased by 11.9% in B&D-partnered; schools and only 8.7% in comparable schools. Improvement rates for the state of Indiana were 4% and 4.6% for ELA and math, respectively.
