WASHINGTON — Libby L. Baney, who focuses her practice in the insurance and health industries, has been promoted to Vice President at B&D; Consulting.
Baney, who joined the firm in 2007 as an advisor, provides strategic counsel to trade associations, nonprofits, corporations, governmental entities and individuals on matters related to federal government action. She advocates for clients on Capitol Hill and with the Executive Branch and other stakeholders by developing and executing public policy solutions to the complex regulatory challenges facing the insurance and health & life sciences industries.
Baney, who graduated cum laude from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law–Bloomington in 2007, also is an associate lawyer with Baker & Daniels LLP, the parent company of B&D; Consulting. Before relocating in Washington, D.C., she worked on community development projects and charter school initiatives for the City of Indianapolis, economic development activities for the State of Indiana and creating corporate response plans for state and federal legislation.
Baney earned her bachelor's degree from Indiana University in 2004.
