WASHINGTON — In an effort to promote civic engagement and awareness among educators, consultants from B&D; Consulting will lead a presentation on the education policy process to educators attending the National Staff Development Council's (NSDC) Summer Conference from July 18-21 in Seattle.

M. René Islas and Mitchell London of B&D; Consulting will present "How Teacher Leaders Influence Policy" to help empower educators at every level to consider how policy affects their work and how they can change policy to improve outcomes for students. The presentation will cover that role of educators and will discuss steps individuals can take in order to bring about positive change.
