On March 19, 2013, FaegreBD Consulting announced that former congresswoman Mary Bono Mack had joined the firm as senior vice president focusing on entertainment, media and technology matters. News of Mary's move to FaegreBDC was covered by the media in her former congressional district of Palm Springs, California, and in the national political, legal and business media.

Bono Mack told the Legal Times that she is "very excited" to join the firm. "They were open to my ideas and areas of interest," she explained.

"It's kind of nice change of pace in that I get to pick and choose a certain subset of issues that I get to work on rather than, the congressional program is everything from school lunch programs to landing the rover on Mars and everything in between" Bono Mack told Palm Spings' KESQ-TV in an interview.
