Andrew Wheeler of FaegreBD Consulting Named President of the Board of the National Energy Resources Organization
Washington, D.C. (22-July-2013) - On July 18, 2013, FaegreBD Consulting principal, Andrew Wheeler, assumed the role of president of the board of the National Energy Resources Organization (NERO), a non-partisan, non-profit organization based in Alexandria, Va.
Founded in 1975, NERO's mission is to engage in dialogue on energy issues, recognize outstanding achievements and promote public awareness. The organization creates opportunities for its corporate, individual and government members to interact with congressional policymakers and senior administration officials.
"At a time when energy issues are at the forefront of policymaking in D.C., it is an honor to be selected as president of an organization that provides a platform of discussion for some of the industry's key players," said Wheeler. "By fostering dialogue, NERO helps breed innovation and creativity in the development and implementation of long-term energy policies."
Wheeler helps lead the FaegreBD Consulting energy and environment practice using his extensive background in energy and environmental policy to advise numerous types of clients on comprehensive legislative, regulatory and operational strategies. He represents clients before Congress, Department of Energy, Environmental Protection Agency and the Department of Transportation. Prior to becoming president, he served as senior vice president of NERO.
