Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has recently indicated it will be implementing new policies to increase oversight of the network adequacy of Medicare Advantage (MA) plans. The new policies—which will include tools to measure network adequacy year-round—reflect CMS's goal of preventing MA sponsors from offering robust networks upon initiation, then shrinking them shortly afterwards.
