On Aug. 25, stakeholders across Minnesota will gather to define the state's problem with prescription painkillers and determine how to best address it. Attendees will hear from experts in the field as well as those directly and indirectly affected by prescription drug abuse.

FaegreBD Consulting principal and former U.S. Congresswoman for California Mary Bono will speak at the event. While in Congress, she co-founded the Congressional Caucus on Prescription Drug Abuse. Mary continues to be instrumental in promoting drug addiction treatment and recovery through legislative advocacy, communications strategy and education of health care professionals.
