FaegreBD Consulting has a record of spurring beneficial policy solutions ranging from issue-specific initiatives to broad changes impacting entire disciplines. Below are several representative examples of FaegreBD Consulting's science and education policy work.

• STEM Education Policy. Working with a STEM education disciplinary society, FaegreBD Consulting helped to enhance with federal policymakers the organization's position as an arbiter of quality K-12 mathematics programs, and a preferred partner for implementation of evidence-based, in-service professional development programs in mathematics. 
  
• Education Research Policy. Working with a national coalition of leading research-intensive colleges of education, FaegreBD Consulting advocated for federal funding of education research and public policy to drive improvements in teacher and student performance. Since its inception, the coalition has achieved a number of accomplishments including advancing federal funding, building high-level relationships with senior administration officials, and conducting high-level congressional and agency briefings to inform policymakers on the benefits of education research.
  
• Public Access Policy. On behalf of a coalition of major academic research institutions, FaegreBD Consulting conceived and advanced a successful campaign to adopt a public access policy at the NIH. The public access campaign was initiated through a congressional strategy, coupled with significant engagement with federal agencies, the Administration, and the Office of Management and Budget to identify and address legitimate concerns along a complex route toward ultimate adoption and implementation of the NIH Public Access Policy.
