Baker & Daniels and B&D; Consulting invite you to join us for the eighth webinar in our 2010 series focusing on clean energy and climate change and developed by the American Council on Renewable Energy (ACORE) and the American Bar Association.
The increase in renewable energy development presents a number of challenges, risks and possible rewards for load-serving electric utilities. Higher Renewable Portfolio Standards (RPS), the potential for new greenhouse gas regulation, and consumer preferences are all requiring utilities to consider the place of renewable power in their business planning and supply portfolio. Depending on the prevailing regulatory structure and business model, renewable energy will impact utilities in different ways. This webinar will explore several issues and considerations facing utilities in all of the “traditional” areas of the business as they pursue great amounts of renewable resources.
Baker & Daniels and B&D; Consulting will provide brief federal and state updates prior to the webinar (updates start promptly at 11:40 a.m. with the webinar beginning at noon). A light lunch is provided and networking and discussion will follow the webinar.
Baker & Daniels LLP and B&D; Consulting are sponsors of this national series.
This event is presented free of charge, however, you must register in advance to receive the login instructions for attending remotely. Login instructions will be e-mailed to you prior to the webinar. Registration for onsite attendance is encouraged to allow us to plan for lunch.
