He is a leading thinker on policy and political strategies that help clients succeed in the energy, environment, telecommunications, food, agriculture, tax, entertainment, information technology and health care sectors, as he coordinates and promotes these initiatives within the halls of Congress and the executive branch.
His clients include corporations, public policy organizations, local government entities and individuals confronted with policy issues resulting from federal law and regulation or congressional investigations. Andy is also experienced at developing, managing and executing public affairs strategies, third-party stakeholder efforts and media campaigns.
Energy & Environment
Andy's experience in the heavily-regulated energy and environment industries allows him to advise clients on the opportunities and challenges that exist in Congress, the Department of Energy, the Environmental Protection Administration and other federal executive branch agencies. On behalf of clients, he has successfully worked with many statutes and regulations over the years that are under the jurisdiction of the House Energy & Commerce Committee.
Andy regularly speaks on the impact of energy and environment public policy to major financial institutions, boards of directors, real estate companies, associations, state energy departments and renewable fuels companies.
Food & Agriculture
Andy consults with traditional and organic food and agriculture clients regarding regulatory relief, farm legislation, and the execution of industry and government strategies to achieve success.
He has successfully advocated amending troubling provisions of the Farm Bill that would be harmful to client investments.
Information Technology
Working with companies in the telecommunications and information technology industries, Andy has managed and executed initiatives for clients on rural broadband, privacy and data breach objectives. Through support of client goals and implementation of thoughtful, researched strategies, Andy has always been able to advance key legislative and regulatory initiatives in Congress and in the federal agencies.
Hill Experience
Andy worked as a chief of staff in the leadership of the U.S. House of Representatives and in a variety of legislative, political and communications positions for three members of Congress. He has personal experience with the Office of the Speaker, the Majority Leader and the Majority Whip as well as with the following House Committees: Energy & Commerce, Ways & Means, Financial Institutions, Government Reform & Oversight, Transportation & Infrastructure and Small Business.
