Baker & Daniels and B&D; Consulting invite you to join us for the eighth webinar in our 2010-2011 series focusing on clean energy and climate change and developed by the American Council on Renewable Energy (ACORE) and the American Bar Association.
Wave energy, though in its infancy in the U.S. as an industry, is one of the largest and most broadly accessible marine resources, with the potential to supply enough power for the entire world. This installment of the 2010-2011 ABA-ACORE Webinar Series will explore basic technologies being used for wave energy devices, as well as current experimental developments in the wave industry today. A number of technological, environmental, regulatory, and funding issues are all associated with wave energy projects. For this reason, our panelists will provide a “wave energy 101” which will focus on these matters, and discuss where wave energy technology tends to be focused in the U.S. presently.
Terry Hall, Baker & Daniels' clean energy & carbon markets practice group leader, will provide brief federal and state updates prior to the webinar (updates start promptly at 11:40 a.m. and the webinar begins at noon). For those attending in person, a light lunch will be provided and networking and discussion will follow the webinar.
Baker & Daniels LLP and B&D; Consulting are sponsors of this national series.
This event is presented free of charge, however, you must register in advance to receive the login instructions for attending remotely. Login instructions will be e-mailed to you prior to the webinar. Registration for onsite attendance is encouraged to allow us to plan for lunch.
