FaegreBD Consulting principal Andy Ehrlich co-authored an article with Faegre Baker Daniels associate Alex Logemann for Ethanol Producer Magazine on the Environmental Protection Agency's proposition to hold 2014 renewable fuel standards (RFS) below statutorily mandated volumes. In the article, Ehrlich and Logemann pointed out that players in the ethanol industry should gain understanding of the legal arguments surrounding the decision as legal precedent set in this particular argument could be a factor in limiting the EPA's ability to adjust the RFS in the future.
A final decision by the EPA is expected by the end of June 2014.
