At an Energy & Environmental Symposium held in Washington, D.C., FaegreBD Consulting hosted several expert panels on issues surrounding energy security, grid reliability, energy imports/exports, as well as a congressional committee outlook. The panels included representatives from Congress, the Obama Administration and the private sector.

In addition, a keynote speech was delivered by U.S. Representative Ed Whitfield of Kentucky, Chairman of the House Subcommittee on Energy and Power, where he discussed two upcoming House Energy Committee bills targeting the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Rep. Whitfield explained that in an effort to restore balance in the energy industry, the bills will take a softer approach to current EPA regulations.
