With an extensive background in clinical research and degree in biologic sciences, Matthew Rubin works with clients and coalitions to advance the understanding and implementation of public policy and health care.
Before joining FaegreBD Consulting, Matthew was an associate clinical researcher and study project coordinator with Indivumed Inc. at the Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital and at MedStar Washington Hospital Center. His research geared toward the creation of an oncologic tissue biorepository and clinical database used in drug development, biomarker discover and validation, and novel therapeutic research. As Indivumed Inc. began to expand its U.S. footprint, Matthew was responsible for helping to create a scalable model for which to initiate new research protocol at various clinical sites.
Matthew juggled five IRB-approved research protocols, including both therapeutic and non-therapeutic clinical trials. These ancillary studies, all while at Georgetown University Medical Center, included longitudinal database outcomes research concerning hepatobiliary surgery and the recurrence risks of resectable colorectal cancers.
