Rob Ehrich brings more than 15 years of public and private sector experience to FaegreBD Consulting's health and biosciences team. He advises clients in the areas of health care, defense and appropriations. In this capacity, Rob works with clients to develop and implement comprehensive federal affairs strategies, targeting Congress and the agencies, designed to successfully advance policy, regulatory and funding objectives. He also helps to organize and manage coalitions of diverse stakeholders with shared policy goals.
Rob's experience includes advising clients at the intersection of the health care and the national security agencies, including the Department of Defense (DoD), Department of Health & Human Services (i.e., Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA)), Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Veterans' Affairs. He works with clients to understand the federal landscape; identify opportunities and threats related to policy, regulatory or funding; and navigate those agencies.
Prior to joining FaegreBD Consulting, Rob served as Legislative Assistant to Sen. Evan Bayh (D-IN). In that capacity, he was the Senator's principal advisor on appropriations, transportation, homeland security, water resources and economic development issues. Rob was also Senator Bayh's Military Legislative Assistant (MLA) and designated staff member to the Senate Armed Services Committee (SASC), advising the Senator and staff on matters before the committee. In that role, he managed all defense-related appropriations and authorization requests and projects, and interfaced with officials from the Pentagon, as well as the defense industry.
As a member of FaegreBD Consulting's Community Engagement Committee, Rob participates in firm activities and initiatives aimed at enriching the local community.
