Baker & Daniels and B&D; Consulting invite you to join us for the ninth webinar in our 2009-2010 series focusing on clean energy and climate change and developed by the American Council on Renewable Energy (ACORE) and the American Bar Association.
Feed-in tariffs (FITs) have been used for many years to promote the growth of renewable energy in Europe. Such tariffs impose on utilities an obligation to give grid access to specified renewable generators and to enter into long-term contracts to purchase their output at prices sufficient to incent their rapid development. Although FITs have been adopted throughout the world (perhaps most famously in Germany), they have yet to be widely adopted in the United States. That may be starting to change. This webinar will explore the state of feed in tariffs in the United States, and the many issues prudent to structuring a more effective FIT.
Baker & Daniels and B&D; Consulting will provide brief federal and state updates prior to the webinar (updates start promptly at 11:40 a.m. and the webinar begins at noon). A light lunch is provided and networking and discussion follow the webinar.
Baker & Daniels LLP and B&D; Consulting are sponsors of this national series.
This event is presented free of charge, however, you must register in advance to receive the login instructions for attending remotely. Login instructions will be e-mailed to you prior to the webinar. Registration for onsite attendance is encouraged to allow us to plan for lunch.
