In nine years at Affiliated Computer Services (now Xerox), Skip served in multiple roles, including chief administrative officer, public sector COO and managing director. He managed business units that served nearly every state and hundreds of local governments. Industries served included human services, health care, finance, information technology, higher education, public safety, justice and transportation.
As a strategic advisor to public sector entities, Skip founded and then spent four years leading a strategic consulting firm working with cities, counties, states and higher education institutions on public sector reform initiatives. His range of services included operations management, driving innovation, managing costs and growing new business opportunities.
After earning his law degree in 1987, Skip was an associate at Faegre Baker Daniels, focusing on commercial litigation, land use planning and administrative law over nearly five years. Then, he spent five years with the City of Indianapolis, including serving as senior deputy mayor and chief operating officer under Mayor Steve Goldsmith.
